SO funny! I was out to eat after an improv show in West Hollywood and I saw your “hair too did” nemesis out to eat. Yes, one Katherine Heigel and a certain quaffed gentleman, Josh Kelly, were dining in a booth with another couple at this delic Mexican place in West Hollywood called El Compadre. I didn’t really put too much thought to his “do” until I saw it in person. It’s a really interesting thing, it looks like an extremely well planned messy hipster style. Kind of like, I don’t care attitude on the surface, but if you really dug deep, you would see the various layers of product and care that were involved in the hair creation! I did try to capture his look with my camera. I sent one of my improv peeps, to snap a pic of her on sly, because I didn’t want to do the dirty work. But she had darted before we could zoom in on the splendor that is Josh Hair did. Do you think they read our blog and sought me out to chit chat??

BTW - I just read the 90’s bit and I’m getting together some good thoughts, feelings, and some pics of our youth cause all I wanna do zooma-zoom-zoom-zoom and boom-boom, just shake your rump….if you are so inclined. Very much on board with SATC!! No you are a “Carrie”…

Jill!!! So was driving from Westfield to Atown tonight and caught Funkmaster Flex doing "Nineties at Nine" on 97.1 (didn't Jess meet him recently?! love that!). Sooooo good. Miss that music. Heard Digable Planets and Eric B. and Rakim. Ridic. Made me so happy to hear and has inspired me to find that music for my nano ASAP! They don't make 'em like they used to. Whatever happened to Digable Planets? I used to torture Justine with that album 1st year at MHC. ah memories!

By the by I also find the whole Miley Cirus thing to be a bit disturbing. When I first saw the picture I sort of liked it until it dawned on me that SHE IS 15 and that it looks like she just emerged from a bit of a tumble if you catch my drift. eeeek. yikes. I don't like how her people are saying they had no idea how the shoot was going to turn out...come on! It is Vanity Fair and Annie Leibowitz...i'm sure they didn't just wing it!

Jess and I were discussing and laughing about how we dressed at 15 back in the day! So different! Laura Ashley/Belle France floral prints down to our ankles and shy smiles with braces!

I hear ya on the Patrick Dempsey movie...looks kind of annoying (although I will probs add it to my netflix list) and I believe that movie was already made! Right? "My Best Friends Wedding" with Julia Roberts and Dermot Mulroney (Mulrooney?). I'm personally ignoring P. De. for the moment and focusing my energies on the SATC movie coming May 31. I'm kind of over him. McDreamy blah blah blah!

Gotta check her out. Was she on Hot 97 back in the day? Well back to, Earth Day. I know we are supposed to think about giving back to the earth, preventing Global warming etc. Unfortunately, I connect with a deep sense of loss on Earth Day. Not loss in the sense of the polar ice caps melting, loss in the sense how in 1990 my parents refused to let me go into New York City to the big Earth concert in Central Park. I believe you and our other friends were able to go and revel in the fun. I missed the opportunity to belt, “Roam” by the B52s surrounded by a sea full of petrulli smelling peeps. You did get me a t-shirt, so thanks. That was nice. Knifes and forks, lady? It’s nice that you went to law school for that. Good work, don’t let the bastards bring you down. Please escape, stat. How about LA?

It’s so funny that you mentioned the Jonas brothers! I didn’t know who they were until recently. I find them to be the poor man’s Hanson. If you put them in red Adidas sweat suits, they would also rival Ben Stiller’s kids in the Royal Tenenbaums. Right? I believe that they were touring with Hannah Montana, aka daughter of Billy “Achy Breaky Heart” Cyrus. Speaking of Miley & Billy, they just did a spread in Vanity Fair together that’s creating all of this controversy. Miley is draped over Billy Ray with her stomach showing. I think the photo would be better if his mullet was back in the mix. Miss that. There is another Photo where she has no shirt on wrapped in a sheet with a sort of come hither expression on her face. Which I think is le creeps when in the first shot she is laying with her dad! The pics are highly dramatic. Annie Leibovitz shot both.

What’s really annoying me though are those ads for "Maid of Honor", starting Mc Dreamy - Patrick Dempsey. It really makes me sad that this movie was made for our gender and age group. Weddings, bridesmaids, old love, cosmos = lady hyjinks. I have a feeling I know how this flick turns out. They get together after he storms the wedding. Why can’t Patrick Dempsey return to such dramatic morsels such as “Can’t buy Me Love". When he went from totally geek to totally chic, but then he threw shit on his friends house man. Well, maybe 40 year old Dempsey is better after all. What do ya think Juls???

Hey Jill!!!

First post! So I meant to post something about Earth Day yesterday but I got held up buying plastic utensils, plates and cups for Administrative Assistants' Day (that I was put in charge of at the firm?! I find that sexist...!) which were all promptly thrown out today after the lunch. oops! Yes I do feel guilty about that. I compost ok?!

So just two random thoughts that have been floating around my head lately. 1. I find two of the Jonas Brothers (middle and right in above pic) impossible to look at. I know very little about them (apparently some popular tween band who I think are from NJ...yes I'm 75) but whenever I see those two I cringe. 2. I have the same reaction, although not as severe, to Katherine Heigel's new husband Josh Kelly. I think it is because his hair is too did. Jill, any thoughts on this?! Do you have any similar reactions to some semi-celebs?!
